Paint Application Equipment

For over 17 years, Ritchie Automation has specialized in integrating paint application equipment into automotive and industrial finishing systems. Paint application equipment includes every component of liquid & powder coating finishing systems, including spray gun applicators, paint pumps, paint gun cleaners, day tanks, mix tanks, and robotics.

The Experts in Paint Applicators

Ritchie Automation's diverse background provides a valuable resource for the selection of application equipment. Years of paint finishing system integration coupled with the real-world application experience of our staff means you get the equipment that is right for your application; not just the latest trend.

We select spray equipment that provides consistent application of your coating materials, including air, rotary / mechanical, and hydraulic atomizers. Mechanical engineering and maintenance backgrounds allow us to consider all facets of your unique finishing needs, whether it is a liquid or powder based coating application.

The final result is you get the best applicator, with the highest efficiency, that is the easiest to maintain and carries the lowest operating cost.

We have extensive experience integrating all types of paint application equipment, including:

Application Equipment Robots - AutomationAir Atomization

  • Conventional
  • High Volume Low Pressure (HVLP)
  • Low Volume Low Pressure (LVMP)
  • Compliant
  • Trans-Tech

Rotary / Mechanical Atomization

  • Rotary Atomizers
  • Bells
  • Disks

Hydraulic Atomization

  • Air-Assisted Airless
  • Airless

The Recipe for Efficient Paint Kitchens

Paint kitchens, also known as paint mix rooms, are home to paint pumps and pump accessories used for pumping, storing, and mixing paints and solvents. Our paint kitchens offer efficiency and performance by Piggable Paint Kitchenutilizing the latest pumping technology, including electric pumps and piggable systems.

Pumping systems are custom engineered to deliver paint to the application equipment with the most efficient and least abusive methods. One-pipe, two-pipe, and piggable style stainless steel paint circulating systems are all available to fit your application. Piping connection methods include compression fittings, sanitary flange connectors, or orbital welds allowing you to tailor the system to your needs and still meet budget requirements.

Industrial Robots & Machines

Industrial Robots & MachinesAutomated robotic finishing systems never go on vacation; their mission is to provide you with the ultimate in transfer efficiency and productivity. Painting robots are designed to automate any process of industrial finishing, including coating, heating, washing, and finishing.

We synchronize painting robots with production lines for precision application. Robors are positioned to maximize reach and utilize the robots work envelope. There are no variations in robot spray application, minimizing over spray and increasing through-put at the same time.

Typical Return On Investment (ROI) Opportunities include:

  • Increased throughput - paint more parts in less time
  • Increased transfer efficiency - use less paint
  • Elimination of manual spray operation - labor cost reduction
  • More consistent finish quality / coating thickness - higher quality parts
  • Less hazardous waste generation - less environmental impact

We choose robotic components based on the repeatability and application requirements, regardless of brand. We also implement robotic automation finishing systems by client preferences, if requested. We're experienced in integrating robots from many manufacturers, including Fanuc, ABB, Motoman/Yaskawa, Kawasaki, and Adept.
